Scoil Mhuire, Ballymore Eustace
The Teaching Council has announced that Scoil Mhuire, Ballymore Eustace, and Scoil na Naomh Uilig, Newbridge, are the two Kildare schools, among 27 schools around the country, to receive funding under its Féilte Bursary Scheme 2025.
The bursary scheme is designed to support collaboration between schools and enhance teachers’ professional learning. In total, the Teaching Council has awarded funding of €126,000 to schools across Ireland.
This year’s funding in Kildare will support collaborative projects centred on wellbeing and playful learning. Both schools will work with partner schools and education specialists to deepen teachers’ skills and support engaging, child-centred learning.
Congratulating the schools, Acting Director of the Teaching Council, Phil Fox said: “Teachers at these schools, and across Ireland continue to show remarkable creativity, innovation, and dedication to professional learning through their applications to the Féilte Bursary Scheme. The scheme has once again highlighted the high standards and quality of our teaching profession.
“The Teaching Council is proud to support this work, and we are pleased to confirm that the scheme’s funding has increased from €100,000 last year to €126,000 this year. This additional investment highlights the Council’s commitment to promoting teaching as a profession and teachers’ professional learning.
“I wish all the participants well with their projects. I look forward to following the progress of these projects and to seeing the positive impact they will have on classrooms and school communities nationwide.”
