A Silver Nissa vehicle was stolen from South Kildare housing estate earlier this week.

That's according to a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS), who discussed the incident during a guest appearance on KFM on Wednesday, December 17 last.

Garda Sarah O'Sullivan told host Hannah Kelly that the vehicle was stolen from the Hermitage Park region of Kilcullen on Monday, December 15 last.

She added that gardaí are investigating the presence of a "suspicious" white vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Gda O'Sullivan concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this crime to contact Kilcullen Garda Station on 045 481 212.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a spokesperson for AGS responded: "Gardaí are investigating an unauthorised taking of vehicle in a residential area in Kilcullen, County Kildare, [which took place] overnight on Sunday, December 14 last and Monday, December 15 last."

The spokesperson also said that the investigation is ongoing.
