The latest donation follows the club’s Tour of Kildare cycling sportive, a leisure event held in August and which started from the Kildare County Council Offices in Naas.
It attracted several hundred participants on a day blessed with good weather.
The money raised will support the schools ongoing work as well as its facilities, which include an all-weather play area and this has been partly supported by NCC in recent years.
The success of the event reflected strong teamwork which exists among NCC’s members and with the dedicated team of Saplings volunteers who come together to deliver a real community occasion.
Planning is already underway for next year’s event, with the aim of continuing and building on this support.
Saplings is a co-educational autism specific school, providing high quality education for pupils with autism and complex needs.
