Criminal damage was caused to a vehicle which was parked in one County Kildare town.

The incident was detailed by Garda Sarah O'Sullivan when she appeared as a guest on KFM this morning (January 14).

She explained that the crime occurred in Newbridge during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 10 last.

According to Gda O'Sullivan, a male dressed in all-black clothing caused damage to a blue vehicle which was parked in The Paddocks region.

She concluded by urging anyone with information and / or footage relating to this incident to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí attended a scene of criminal damage to a vehicle in Newbridge, County Kildare on Saturday, January 10 last at approximately 3am."

The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.
