The death has occurred of Martin Duhig, Naas, Kildare.

DUHIG, Martin (Naas Co. Kildare) January 11 2026 (peacefully) at his home. Predeceased by his beloved son Ciaran.

Sadly missed by his family, loving wife Annette, daughters Elaine, Valerie and Ciara, son Stephen, grandchildren and great grandchild, sisters Mary, Teresa and Geraldine, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May his gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, Co. Kildare (W91 CD0K) on Friday January 16 2026 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

Funeral Saturday January 17 with requiem Mass at 10.00am at the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane, Naas followed by burial at St. Corban's Cemetery.

Patrick (Buddy) Kirby

The death has occurred of Patrick (Buddy) Kirby, Fengrove, Standhouse Road, Newbridge, Kildare

​KIRBY Patrick (Buddy) Fengrove, Standhouse Road, Newbridge - January 14 2026 (peacefully) guided by angels to heaven surrounded by his loving family.

He was cherished and deeply loved by his daughters Zoe, Bronwyn, Alexandra and Amelia, grandson Arlo and his daughter's partners, and by their mother Shirley, who was by his side.

Patrick will be deeply missed by his siblings Olive, Freda and David, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, as well as by all who knew and loved him.

Forever remembered for his kindness and humour, warmth and the love he shared with his family.

May Patrick rest in peace.

Reposing at his family home W12YN62 on Friday (January 16) from 3pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10am to arrive at Cill Mhuire, Ballymany, Newbridge for 10.30am Mass.

Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

Ronald (Ron) McLean

The death has occurred of Ronald (Ron) McLean, Newbridge, Kildare.

McLean, Ronald (Ron), January 12 2026 (Newbridge, Co Kildare), (unexpectedly), at Tallaght Hospital.

Beloved husband of Carrie, much loved dad of Mahrie, Fiona and Kirsty and adored grandad of Eleanor and Bob.

Ron will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Dave, Kirsty’s partner Chris, sisters Moira and Caroline, brother-in-law Frankie, sister-in-law Sue, nieces Lorna and Starrie, extended family and friends especially his very close friend Kenny.

May Ron rest in peace.

A celebration of Ron’s life will take place on Monday (19th January) at 10am in the Temple at Newlands Cross Crematorium, followed by Cremation.

The death has occurred of Valerie Christine O’Sullivan, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Robertstown, Kildare.

Valerie Christine O'Sullivan, Lakeview, Lock Gowan, Co. Cavan. Formerly Robertstown, Co. Kildare.

Peacefully, January 12 2026, at Cavan Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.

Predeceased by her beloved son Patrick and his father Seamus Wyse. Valerie will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken son Thomas, daughter in law KC, loving granddaughter Bella Rose, brothers Tony, Morgan, Pat, Martin, Barry and Glen, sisters Maura, Ada, Ita and Rosaleen (Rip), brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, Allenwood on Thursday (January 15) from 5pm - 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm.

Removal on Friday morning to arrive at The Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin for cremation service at 11:15am. Valerie's service will be live streamed through the webstream link below.

Joanne Webster

The death has occurred of Joanne Webster, Ashville, Athy, Kildare.

Joanne Webster, Ashville, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away suddenly but peacefully, in hospital, on December 23 2025.

She will be sadly missed by her sons Michael and Dylan, her daughter Lily, her parents Tony and Joan, her brothers Paul, Steven and Tony, nephews, nieces, extended family and good friends.

Joanne will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Athy (R14 NX80) on Friday 16th January from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm.

A private funeral service for family and friends will take place on Saturday January 17 at 12 noon at Thompson’s Cremation Chapel.
