Man allegedly urinated on reception desk in landmark Kildare hotel

A man urinated on the reception desk in a well-known hotel, it was alleged at Naas District Court.

Sgt Mary Meade told Naas District Court the incident reportedly took place at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, on December 27, 2025.

Shane O’Donoghue, 31, whose address was given as 20 Magee Terrace, Kildare town, is being prosecuted for an alleged breach of the Public Order Act.

Sgt Mary Meade said the gardaí were summoned to the premises because two people were said to be highly intoxicated and abusive.

It was claimed that the pair fled the scene and at least one was reportredly observed in the garden of a private residence nearby.

The defendant did not attend court and Judge Desmond Zaidan issued a warrant for his arrest.
