Maynooth University were paired with Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) for Round Three of the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup when the draw was completed yesterday afternoon.

The Kildare school have several county stars in their ranks with the likes of Ryan Burke, James Harris, Aaron Browne and Luke Killian being four of the 11 players from Kildare in the MU panel.

Maynooth fell to a 3-16 to 2-14 defeat to UCD side, who had two Kildare starters of their own in the form Athy's Michael Spillane and Sarsfields' Callum Bolton, on Tuesday. The Sash man lined out at centre-forward and hit 0-2 on the night.
