Gardai in Maynooth are investigating the unauthorised taking of a vehicle from Moyglare Village in Maynooth, Co Kildare at 4.45am on February 24 2026.
According to Gda Brian Carroll, who appeared on KFM's Crime Watch slot with host Hannah Kelly this week, a grey Mazda Demio, reg. no. 11C20388 was taken from the estate.
The vehicle was later found abandoned on the Dunboyne Road outside Maynooth.
Gardai are asking the public if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at this time, or who saw anyone driving this car to contact Maynooth Garda Station at (01) 629 2380.
A garda statement read: “Gardaí are investigating an unauthorised taking of a vehicle from a residential premises in Maynooth Co. Kildare at approximately 4:45am on Tuesday 24th February 2026.
“The vehicle has since been recovered. Investigations are ongoing.”
