Full details as Kildare minor and U20 hurlers get Leinster campaigns under way this weekend

Two Kildare underage sides will commence their 2026 Leinster Championship endeavours this weekend with the Kildare minors travelling to Trim to face Meath on Saturday before the U20s begin their provincial Championship campaign with a home game against Kerry on Sunday, March 22.

Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Hurling Championship
Venue: Trim, Meath V Kildare, 3pm.

Fulfil Leinster U20 Hurling Championship
Venue: Manguard Park, Kildare V Kerry, 4pm.

The Kildare senior hurlers are thriving at the minute with Division 1B survival already secured and confidence is higher than ever headed into their final 2026 Allianz Hurling League clash with Wexford. Part of the praise that The Lilies have received has been the number of players that have emerged from their minor and U20 structures in recent years and that all recommences here once again.

Wicklow v Antrim, Prosperity & Protection Darver Pitch 3 (2.30pm) 

Laois v Kerry, Laois Hire O’Moore Park (3.30pm) 

Meath v Kildare, Trim (3.00pm) 

Sunday, March 22

Carlow Venue (5.00pm) Carlow v Offaly

  • Winners of the above games Qualify for Round 3
  • Losers play in Round 2 – Saturday, March 28
Round 1 – Fulfil Leinster U-20 Hurling Championship 2026
 
Sunday, March 22
Meath v Antrim, Trim (2.00pm) 
Kildare v Kerry, Manguard Park, Hawkfield (4.00pm)      
  • Winner on the Day
  • Winners play in Round 2 – Sunday, March 29
  • Losers Qualify for Stand Alone Leinster Competition
