A €1.1m hotel extension is to take place at a popular Kildare pub.
According to Construction Information Services, Central Tower Limited has secured planning permission with respect to The Forge Inn, 46 Main Street, Naas W91 AD9R, Co Kildare.
CIS states that planning permission for application number 2560845 was granted by Kildare County Council on March 17 2026, having been submitted on July 29 2024.
The plans include alterations to permission previously granted under Pl. Ref 23 579 in the structure to the rear of The Forge Inn, (Protected Structure RPS. Ref. NS19-186).

The proposed alterations include
8 x bedroom suites on the first and second floors to the rear of The Forge Inn, which was previously permitted as a public bar and staff areas, the bedroom accommodation will be used ancillary to the Forge Bar to form a Boutique Hotel;
all associated site works
The architect for the development is O'Loughlin Architects Limited.
