While on patrol on Monread Road, Kildare recently, members of the Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle following an ANPR alert indicating no insurance, tax, or NCT.

As a result of the offences, Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were issued for:

  • No Insurance Disc

  • No NCT

  • No Motor Tax

A €180 fine and three penalty points were applied.

Also, a court appearance will follow for no insurance, and the vehicle has been impounded.

A garda spokesperson said: “Driving without valid insurance, tax, or NCT puts everyone at risk and carries serious consequences.

“Please ensure your vehicle is fully compliant before taking to the road."
