He asked Kildare County Council (KCC) the following question: "Can KCC provide an update and indicative timeline for the construction and installation of the proposed bus shelter at Maddenstown, including whether the project has progressed through the necessary procurement and approval stages, and when works are expected to commence?"
In response to his query, KCC said: "A pair of bus stops / shelters and all associated works at Maddenstown is part of a batch of bus shelter projects which is currently at tender stage."
"This batch of works is due to commence in May, subject to NTA approval and bus shelter availability," KCC added.
Following this, Cllr Balfe said that he accepted the report.
