An assessment will be carried out by Kildare County Council (KCC) following reports that sightlines near a County Kildare church's graveyard are being obscured.
The answer was given to Fine Gael councillor Tracey O'Dwyer in response to a motion she submitted at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, March 18 last.

Specifically, she motioned for KCC to "list the hedge at Gormanstown Church Graveyard for annual cutting back, as it is blocking sight lines".
Her motion was seconded by Social Democrats Cllr Chris Pender.
In response, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: "The area will be assessed and the hedge will be maintained if it is blocking sightlines to the junction."
