Plans for a €3.5 million apartment development in Naas have been refused by Kildare County Council.
The proposed development was to be located at Oldbridge Station and Station Way in Osberstown, and would have delivered a total of 15 residential units.
The plans, submitted by applicant David O’Rourke, included a three-storey apartment block accommodating 14 units, made up of seven two-bedroom ground floor apartments and seven three-bedroom duplex units across the upper floors.

A separate two-storey detached house was also proposed alongside an existing dwelling on the site.
The development also provided for car parking, bicycle storage, bin storage, landscaping and boundary treatments, along with connections to mains sewer services and all associated site works.
Designs for the project were prepared by Marbo Consultants Ltd, with engineering services provided by OBA Consulting Engineers Ltd.
A decision to refuse planning permission was issued on March 18.
The project had a total floor area of just over 1,500 square metres on a site of approximately 0.55 hectares. It is not yet known whether revised plans will be submitted.
