An Garda Síochána Kildare are to hold a visible presence on our roads this week with the force's Easter bank holiday Road Safety Campaign.
The Weekend Road Safety Campaign commences at 7:00am on Thursday, April 2 2026 and concludes at 23:59pm on Tuesday, April 7 2026.
Enforcement activity will be significantly increased throughout the county over this period.
An Garda Síochána Kildare is asking all road users to take responsibility for their safety and the safety of others by:
Wearing your seat belt correctly on every journey;
Ensuring your vehicle is insured, taxed, and roadworthy;
Never driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
Obeying all speed limits;
Staying alert and avoiding distractions, particularly mobile phone use while driving.
A garda spokesperson noted: “Road safety is a shared responsibility. Let us work together to keep our roads safe for everyone this Easter Bank Holiday weekend.”
