A driver who had been disqualified from driving for 75 years in 2017 has received a "complimentary stay" at Mountjoy Prison after being stopped by Gardaí in Kildare.
The Roads Policing Unit in Naas had a "you couldn’t make it up" morning on Monday.
A car was stopped on the M7 after Gardaí felt it was driving in a "suspicious" manner.
It was discovered that the driver had been disqualified from driving for 75 years, with five active disqualifications on their license.
The driver was first disqualified on February 3rd 2017, with the disqualification set to expire on the same date, but in 2092.

"At that point, they weren’t sure whether to check his licence or his birth certificate," a post by An Garda Síochána Kildare on Facebook states.

The man in question also had a committal warrant waiting for him, meaning he was given a "complimentary stay in Mountjoy Prison."
The car was also seized and taken for a "little holiday of its own."
"Moral of the story: if you’re banned from driving until forever, maybe take the bus," the Facebook post concluded.
