Some ten patients were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

Along with the Mater Hospital in Dublin, it was the lowest overcrowding figure in the eastern region today.

St Vincent's Hospital had the highest overcrowding figure (39), followed by Tallaght Hospital (29).

There were two people on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital and none at Tullamore Hospital.
