An alert has been issued by Kildare Council Council today, on April 14th 2026, surrounding motor tax applications.
In a statement, Kildare Co Co said: "We wish to inform you that the Kildare Motor Tax office is currently experiencing technical issues with the National Vehicle and Driver File (NVDF) database.
"As a result, there may be delays in processing motor tax applications. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue.
"If you have any urgent queries, please email motortax@kildarecoco.ie and we will endeavour to assist you".
