Gardaí found a man lying on a busy road on the outskirts of Naas, the local district court was told.
Clive Conlon, 51, whose address was given as 57 Sarto Road, Naas, was prosecuted for being intoxicated at the Maudlins roundabout, Dublin Road, on January 2.
Sgt Mary Meade said the defendant was lying on the road when the gardaí got there.
The sergeant added there had been "multiple calls to the garda station” about the incident.
The court also heard that the defendant had four previous convictions for breaches of the Public Order Act.

Solicitor Tim Kennelly said "alcohol has taken over” and when he meets the defendant is either drunk or on his way.
Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a fine of €200.
