€1,500 worth of jewellery allegedly taken from home, Kildare court told

The case was before Naas District Court.

Allegations of burglary were directed at a man in Naas District Court on Thursday, November 24.

James O’ Reilly, with an address given as 4 Ard Mor Walk, Tallaght Dublin 24, is accused of committing the offences in Laragh, Maynooth on May 26, 2021.

Gardaí alleged that the 26-year-old, who appeared via video link as he is in custody on other matters, was part of a suspected burglary gang that made off with €1,500 worth of jewellery, and were later allegedly identified by the registration plate of their vehicle.

Judge Desmond Zaidan refused jurisdiction over the case, citing the serious nature of the allegations.

He adjourned the case to January 1, 2023, to allow time for a book of evidence to be organised for the case.
