A free online talk for Kildare and West-Wicklow parents will focus on understanding and responding to self-harm.

The talk will be co-facilitated by Madeleine Connolly, Senior Social Worker Practitioner and Family Therapist in Lucena (CAMHS) and Dr Sadhbh Byrne, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology in Maynooth University.

The facilitators will present some Australian and Irish Research on understanding self-harm, which includes the perspectives of other parents and carers, as well as young people who have engaged in self-harm.

The talk will also draw from on Madeleine's experience of supporting parents who have responded to self-harm.

It should be noted that this talk is strictly for parents only, and places are limited.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 21 and will last from 7pm to 8pm.
