Two blocks of apartments planned for Kildare town fail to get planning permission

Kildare Co Council has refused planning permission for 20 homes in Kildare town.

Being planned were two two-storey blocks of apartments in the Dublin Road area. 

Permission was also sought for the demolition of an existing two-storey commercial premises.

Ten one-storey apartments were planned for one block.

Eight one bedroom units and two two-bedroom units were planned for the second block.

An internal access road, landscaping, and a bin and bicycle store were also part of the plans.
