In the letter addressed to the team, President Higgins commended the "talent, resilience, and teamwork" displayed by Richie Murphy's squad as they gear up for their highly anticipated encounter with France at Athlone Stadium.
President Higgins wrote, "Your journey to the final, not only in this tournament but also by clinching the Six Nations Championship earlier this year, is a truly remarkable accomplishment. It serves as a testament to the remarkable talent, resilience, and teamwork within Irish rugby."
He continued, "The unwavering dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment you have displayed have brought immense joy to all those who hold Irish rugby dear. Your team's outstanding performances in South Africa this summer serve as undeniable proof that you have rightfully earned your place in this year's final."
