KILDARE: Naas Musical Society welcomes newcomers to their upcoming open night

Naas Musical Society (NMS) will hold their Annual Open Night next week.

The members will get a chance to meet the NMS's incoming production team and committee who will talk about the upcoming season. 

A spokesperson for the NMS said: "If you are interested in any aspect of the society, please come along.

"You do not have to be on the stage to join NMS. 

"We are looking for: Backstage Crew, Painters, Props, Front of House, Makeup, Hair, Fundraising Committee Members, Sponsors, etc.

"For more information, please email naasmusical@gmail.com or contact us on our social media platforms," they concluded.

The society has also announced that it will be performing a Gala Variety Concert in November, which will be directed by NMS President Mona Conroy, Musical Director Máiread McKenna and Choreographed by Grace McGrath.

Mona will be assisted by Cian McKeon who recently graduated from University of Limerick with a Degree in Performing Arts. We are very excited to welcome Cian on board. 

The Gala concert will take place in the Moat Theatre on November 6 to November 8, 2023. 

All funds from the opening night will go to Celine’s Cancer Quest which was set up by friends and family of Moat Theatre Manager Celine Garvey.

In addition, this year’s production of '9 to 5' will take place in the Moat Theatre from March 9 to March 15, 2023. 

The society will bring on board Sharon McNamara alongside Máiread McKenna (Musical Director) and Grace McGrath (Choreographer).

The Open Night will take place on Friday, August 25, at the Townhouse Hotel in Naas at 8pm.
