The meeting was held on Wednesday, September 20 last.
Kildare County Council (KCC) has outlined advice for those concerned about bonfires in Dara Park, Newbridge.
The council made the comments following a question on the topic put forward by Sinn Féin councillor Noel Connolly, who asked 'who can the public call whenever these bonfires in the estate.'
In response, a representative for KCC said that concerned members of the public can call the local Fire Department, or the Environmental Department for KCC.
The representative added: "It falls on KCC for the clean-up and costs, so it (the money for cleaning up the mess) has to come from somewhere (else)."
KCC is not the only council that has commented on the potential dangers of bonfires: just this morning, Dublin City Council issued a statement calling on business owners and residents 'not to leave waste or material that can be used for building bonfires in sight, or in accessible locations.'
