New equipment looks likely to be provided at the town park in Prosperous.
A Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting was told that a communications board, which displays images to help people with limited language skills to express themselves.
The query was raised by Cllr Aidan Farrelly who also asked about the provision of wheelchair accessible equipment.
Kildare County Council official Simon Wallace said that prices for a communication board in Athy are awaited.
And once this happens it’s planned to progress with the receipt of quotations for the installation of the board in Prosperous.”
Mr Wallace said it will be installed before the end of the year and a wheelchair-accessible swing is on order and an installation date from the supplier is awaited.
