RIP to the late Margaret Owens, Seamus Leydon and Thomas Nelson.

The death has occurred of Margaret Owens

Kilberry, Athy, Kildare.

passed peacefully away in Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on Wednesday,November 1, 2023. 

Predeceased by her parents, her husband Hugh, and her sons Patrick, Edward and Hughie. 

She will be sadly missed by her loving son and daughters, Mary, John, Bridie and Kathleen, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, neighbours extended family and friends.

Margaret will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Friday, November 3, from 3.30pm. 

Recital of the Rosary at 5pm.

Removal at 5.45pm to arrive at St Michael’s Parish Church for reception prayers at 6pm.  

Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Saturday morning.

Burial afterwards in St Michael's (New) Cemetery, Athy.

The death has occurred of Seamus Leydon

Stephenstown North, Two Mile House, Naas, Kildare / Dunmore, Galway.

Peacefully at St Bridget’s Hospice, The Curragh on October 31, 2023.

Survived by his wife Angela, children Barry and Cliodhna, daughter-in-law Geraldine, Cliodhna's partner Ciaran and granddaughter Sheenagh. Predeceased by his brother Michael. 

Sadly missed by his sister Mary, brother John, sister-in-law Phil and brothers-in-law Charlie and Ray, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral on Friday morning (November 3) with Requiem Mass at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Two Mile House followed by private service at Newlands Cross Crematorium.

The death has occurred of Thomas Nelson

Courtown Road, Kilcock, Kildare / Leixlip, Kildare.

October 31, 2023, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Moyglare Nursing Home, Maynooth, in his 96th year, beloved husband of the late Ingeborg.

Deeply regretted by his loving children Alice, Esther, Una, Thomas and David, sons-in-law Joe and Shane, daughters-in-law Ella and Trish, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Sheila, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster Street, Maynooth (W23 V99E) on Thursday from 6pm-8pm.

Removal on Friday at 10.30am to arrive at St Mary's Church of Ireland, Leixlip for 11am funeral service, followed by burial in Moyglare Cemetery, Maynooth.

The death has occurred of Lucy Coyle (née Flynn)

Bal, Enfield, Kildare.

She died peacefully at the age of 96 on October 12, 2023. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Coyle, loving mother of Mervyn, Paschal and Fintan and grandmother to Liam, Loic, Caris, Erin and Aidan, and the sister of Maurice Flynn and the late Lena, Molly, Rody, Larry, and Bridget.

She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and all her family and friends. 

May Lucy Rest in Peace. 

Reposing from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, November 2, at Murty O’Neill & Sons Funeral Home, Johnstown Bridge.

Funeral Mass on Friday, November 3, at 11 am  in Church of the Holy Family, Kilshanroe, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
