Allenwood booked their place in the last four of the AIB Leinster Club IFC with a three point win over St Malachy's of Westmeath, after extra time, in a dramatic game at Manguard Park, Hawkfield, Kildare, on Saturday.

Leading by three points with 63 minutes on the clock, Malachy's scored a dramatic goal to push the game to extra time with the score reading Allenwood 0-12 St Malachy's 1-9, that vital goal coming from full back Naoise McKenna.

Eoghan Baganll who hit nine points for Allenwood, regained the lead but Morgan Gavinan leveling soon afterwards.

The vital goal of the game arrived on 66 minues when substitute Jack O'Brien got on the end of a fine move involving Rory Moran and Johnny Byrne, to find the net; Johnny Doyle added a free and Allenwood looked on their way.

St Malachy's hit back to leave two in at the break with points from Alan Mangan (free) and Darren Ruane.

Johnny Doyle converted a 45, Neal Kirby replied with a point before Eric Judge (free) and Shane Corcoran effort that skimmed the crossbar left two in it on 79 minutes.

The final score of the  game came from Eoghan Bagnall as Allenwood,  under manager Noel Mooney, advance to the semi-final on a final scor elne of Allenwood 1-17 St Malachy's 1-14.

Man of the Match: Darragh Malone.
