The Kildare Yarn Bombers (KYB) group has announced the theme for Yarn Bomb 2024, which will take place in Newbridge's Liffey Linear Park.
According to a post on KYB's official Facebook page: "Hoppy New Year!
The theme for our annual yarn bomb of the Linear Park in June is… MAD AS A BOX OF FROGS! Frogs and toads in all colours, shapes, sizes."
KYB added: "Let your imagination run wild.
"Ideas will be posted here over the next few months."
THE CRAFT ROOM
KYB further said: "Starting on February 8 at 7.30pm in Newbridge, we will run a four week workshop (small fee will apply).
"Basic crochet skills will be required and you will need to sign up.
"Details to follow."
SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS
Lastly, KYB added: "We are encouraging schools to take on sculptural projects this year, things that can be displayed high up in the trees.
"Not just wool this year, we are encouraging the use of recycled fabrics (think scarves and jumpers).
"Get in touch if you’re new to the town and would like to know more about the yarn bomb — we’re here to help!," the group concluded.
