Kildare pub with 'wow' factor named in Sunday World Pub Spy top 10 for 2023
A Kildare pub has been named among the top 10 visited by the Sunday World's famous secret drinker Pub Spy in 2023.
The Pub Spy segment in the Sunday World is still as popular as ever with the secret punter travelling the country to sample pubs and their pints.
Legendary Naas pub, Fletchers, has made the cut and was listed among the cream of the crop by Pub Spy.
In the Old Commando's review of Fletchers, the veteran drinker said:
"When you step inside the front door of a pub and the first words your colleagues muster up are “WOW”, you know you’ve hit the jackpot.
"We’re still scratching our heads as to how Thomas Fletcher's pub evaded us for so long but this former Leinster pub of the year winner from 1978 is still as glorious today as it was 45 years ago.
"They appear to specialise in whiskey servings so if you’re a whiskey drinker then a visit to Fletchers pub is a must for you."
