Congratulations to the six students of Mercy Convent Primary School Naas who won the Concern Primary Shield Debating Final which was held in Kildare Education Centre last Friday 19th January.

The students pulled off a stellar performance proposing the motion “Sports always brings communities together”.

It was clear that hard work and research went into their presentation which led to them securing the top prize on the night.

Congratulations to Shreya, Noel, Eleanor, Grace, April and Clodagh. Special mention went to their teacher Ms Loughnane for all her assistance in preparing the girls for the debating final.
