The welcome address was delivered by MC and Past Pupil Bernard Jackman (Class 1993), and the event was opened by Union President Mark Prendergast, Newbridge College Union who welcomed everyone in attendance, thanked the Union Committee, sponsors, and the guest speakers on the panel whilst highlighting the importance of the event, supporting the Union and keeping the Alumni community together.

During the lunch, Bernard Jackman interviewed past pupil James Tracy (Class 2010), former Ireland and Leinster player. His second interview was with Sonia Deasy (Class 1993) CEO of Pestle & Mortar.

All three past pupils on the Q&A Panel were presented with a Distinguished Alumni Award within their field.

In closing of the event, Mark Prendergast thanked the management and staff at the Keadeen Hotel and the Union committee for making the event such a success.

The proceeds from the event will go to the Union Benevolent Fund and a donation to the Union’s chosen charity Tiglin.
