Planning permission is being sought in order to make changes to a North Kildare café.

An application lodged with Kildare County Council shows that Fordglen Limited intends to make the changes to the coffee shop located at The Abbey Lodge, Dublin Road, Celbridge.

Specifically, permission is being sought to construct a glazed enclosure with roof over to the existing open seating area adjacent to the existing coffee shop on the northern boundary (river side) along with all other necessary ancillary site development works.

The application also shows that retention is also being sought for the existing single-storey covered seating and coffee serving area (circa 52.2 square metres), in addition to the external seating area (c.34.4m2) to the northern elevation (river side) adjacent to the existing coffee shop.

The date received is listed as March 22 last, while the submission-by and due date is listed as April 25 and May 16 respectively.

According to the business information website Global Database, Fordglen Ltd was established in 1990.

It has a registered address as The Abbey Lodge, 149607, Celbridge, County Kildare.
