Traffic calming measures are due to be implemented by Kildare County Council (KCC) near Tír na nÓg Montessori School in Donadea.
At the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting, which was held on Friday, April 5 last, Labour Party Cllr Angela Feeney motioned for KCC 'to put traffic calming measures in place in the vicinity of Tír na nÓg Montessori School, Donadea, for the safety of children attending the facility.'
Her motion was seconded by Green Party Cllr Peter Hamilton.
In response to Cllr Feeney’s motion, KCC told her: "The MD Engineer will engage with Cllr Feeney and arrange for appropriate measures in line with the KCC Traffic Calming Guidance document to be put in place."
Cllr Feeney told the council that she accepted its report.
