Kilcullen Road, Naas
Red-coloured resin paint should be applied to the cycle lanes at all junctions along the Kilcullen Road in Naas.
Cllr Fintan Brett made the request and said this would help motorists identify the newly installed cycle lanes and act as an additional safety measure.
Kildare County Council engineer Donal Hodgins said a road safety audit is due to be completed in the coming weeks following the completion of the works.
He said action can be considered at that stage.
He also said KCC will also monitor how the scheme is being used and assess whether there is a requirement for further road markings.
