Mass brawl erupts following Kildare hurling Championship prelim

Fists fly following the end of Éire Óg Corra Choill and Coill Dubh

Sparks, and indeed fists, were flying following Éire Óg Corra Choill's 1-13 to 1-10 win over Coill Dubh.

The referee had long departed after the UPMC Senior Hurling Championship Preliminary Round clash when things escalated in Manguard Park. The following fixture, Moorefield v Athy in the Reserve Football League Division 1 Final, was slightly delayed due to the extended scuffle.

After some ebb and flow to the tensions, stern words escalated to physical exchanges with seemingly very few members of either side not ending up involved.
