Two Kildare athletes set to compete in The 2024 Paris Olympics

Two Kildare athletes will be heading to Paris to compete in the upcoming Olympics. 

Noel Hendrick from Donadea will be partaking in the canoe slalom and Eve Higgins from Kilcock will be participating in rugby sevens.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will not officially begin until Saturday, July 27, the day after the Opening Ceremony, which is taking place on Friday, July 26. However some group matches in the soccer and rugby sevens as well as handball and shooting events will be take place before the ceremony. 

Ireland will be sending 133 athletes over to the Olympics, including the two hailing from Kildare.

The games in which the Kildare athletes will be participating in will be on 

The womens rugby sevens tournament will get underway at Stade de France on Sunday, July 28 with the mens canoe slalom also taking place on the same day. 

RTÉ Television will broadcast fourteen hours of live coverage a day featuring all of the Irish athletes.
