Gardaí based in Newbridge are investigating an incident of assault and robbery.
The incident was discussed on KFM earlier today by Garda Mark Connolly of Celbridge Garda Station.
He explained that on the evening of Wednesday, September 4 last, a male approached by two other males dressed in dark masks and clothing at Power's Court, which is beside Eyre Street.
According to Gda Connolly, the male was punched in the face and a small sum of money was stolen from him.
He added that the two male suspects ran off in the direction of the College Park Road.
Gda Connolly concluded by calling on anyone with information about the incident to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí received a report of an incident of burglary that occurred at approximately 9pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Newbridge, County Kildare."
"Investigations are ongoing," they added.
