Dr Cathal Berry TD shares his vision for General Election Campaign
Dr Cathal Berry, current Independent TD for the Kildare South constituency gathered with supporters in the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge this weekend ahead of the expected General Election announcement this week.
Dr Cathal Berry TD and former Army Ranger, has outlined his five key priorities for constituents in Kildare South ahead of the next election. His priorities include:
1. Housing
2. Healthcare
3. Education
4. Rural Ireland
5. National Security
Berry highlighted a strong understanding of the issues affecting Kildare South residents, including the need for lower train fares for commuters, the lack of sports and recreational facilities (no public swimming pool in Newbridge in particular), the need for National Park Status for the Curragh Plains to safeguard it from further future illegal encampments and providing meaningful supports for farmers and small businesses.
Dr Cathal Berry believes in the power of Independent politics and the need for a strong independent voice in the Dáil to highlight and advocate for Kildare South.
His supporters are looking forward to getting behind him and following him on the campaign trail over the next number of weeks.
