Glamping Pods are being planned for the site of a pub in south Kildare.

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the proposed facilities at Mel's Pub, Narraghmore.

Being planned is the refurbishment and alteration works to convert an existing grain store into an artist’s workshop.

Also proposed for the site is the erection of 12 accommodation pods.

The architect is 3DNA Design based in Enniscorthy.

The plans include the extension and change of use of an existing machinery shed to provide two guest rooms.

Also in the plans is a Reception / Waiting Room.

A proposed extension to the existing car park is planned to provide 26 additional spaces including an electric car charging bay.
