Kildare County Council adds five electric vehicles to its fleet

And more will be added to provide services across Kildare

Leitrim will lose visitors if it doesn't have enough electric vehicle chargers

Five electric vehicles were bought by Kildare County Council during 2024.

KCC says it has “commenced the migration towards both zero emission and low emission fuels” this year.

The council's transport department is committed to energy reduction as older vehicles in the fleet are replaced. 

Apart from those bought last year, more will be added to the fleet during 2025.
