Sunflowers-themed fundraising event on Kildare border in aid of mum diagnosed with serious illness

Sunflowers are a symbol of strength, warmth and unwavering support

A fundraising event is taking in Grangecon on the Kildare / Wicklow border on August 9.

An open day is being held to view the sunflowers on Grangcon Demesne (W91 D2CH) from 12pm to 5pm.

Sunflowers are a symbol of strength, warmth and unwavering support.

The event is in support of Motor Neurone Disease Research and to support Kate Crampton and her daughter Ava.

A donation page has also been set up at: https://www.idonate.ie/crowdfunder/KATECRAMPTON

Some of the entry states:

Kate Crampton recently received a diagnosis that has changed her world — Motor Neurone Disease.
Motor Neurone Disease is a cruel and debilitating disease.
But Kate faces each day with strength, love, and her greatest motivation with her beautiful daughter, Ava.
As friends, we wanted to do something — to stand beside Kate, to show her she s not alone.
And so, we re planting hope.
We re hosting a Sunflower Fundraiser — a symbol of strength, warmth, and unwavering support.

Join us at Grangecon Demesne in Co. Wicklow, W91 D2CH on Saturday the 9th of August, from 12 noon to 5pm.
As part of this heartfelt initiative, we aim to send Kate & her family on a short getaway break in Ireland, offering them a chance to create cherished memories. All funds raised at this event will directly support Motor Neurone Disease Research, as well as provide immediate help for Kate & Ava, bringing us hope and closer to a breakthrough cure.
You can be part of this.

Come along on the day to show your un-wavered support, join us for a cuppa, music and chat. If unable to attend, please donate through Kates I Donate, and finally spread the word!
Let s stand tall like sunflowers — together, for Kate, for Ava, and for a future filled with hope.
One flower can t make a field — but together, we can grow something beautiful.
