In the end Leixlip had no less than 16 points to spare over Nurney as the winners advance to the quarter-final of the Kildare IFC and a meeting with Milltown.
The boys from the north of the county were in control and led at the break 0-7 to 0-4, having hit ten wides and missed a couple of goal chanes.
On the resumption they continued their dominance and when Jack Barrett got a touch to find the net in the 45 minute the game was all but done and dusted.
Brian Gibbons and Conor Lawlor added goals as the boys in maroon won on a final score lien of Leixlip 3-17 Nurney 0-10.
