Man allegedly took phone from car at a well known Kildare hotel

A man allegedly took a mobile phone from a car and used a stolen debit card to make purchases.

The claim was made at a Naas District court sitting.

Before the court was Peter Sheridan, 41,  whose address was previously given as Apartment 20, The Elms, Block 4, Rathvoy Park, Naas.

Sgt Mary Meade said it will be alleged that the injured party left a phone in the vehicle at the car park of the Osprey Hotel in Naas and it was taken.

The sergeant said it will be alleged that the defendant was seen on CCTV. The incident happened on April 17, 2025.

Sgt  Meade further claimed that on May 1, 2024 a stolen debit card was used to make two transactions at the Applegreen service station at Millennium Park.

It was stated that the defendant has a number of other matters before the court.

Judge Miriam Walsh granted free legal aid and adjourned the matter.
