Naas Roads Policing Unit (Naas RPU), together with the RSA and HSA, recently carried out checkpoints across Kildare.
The following is a list of some of the driving offences detected during the checkpoints' operation:
1 driver arrested for Driving Whilst Disqualified (driver was charged).
1 driver arrested for Drug Driving – cannabis detected.
1 HGV removed from service for dangerous defective brakes (vehicle was seized).
1 jeep and trailer seized – trailer had no brakes, missing wheel nuts, and driver was not qualified to tow.
The message from An Garda Síochána Kildare is: “These offences put all road users in extreme danger.
“Our Roads Policing Unit remain relentless in our work to keep our roads safe. #NaasRPU #Kildare #RSA #HSA #RoadSafety”
