'Madness' - Christmas trees for sale alongside Halloween decorations in Kildare store
Shoppers in Kildare have been left divided over Christmas stock turning up in supermarkets and now the likes of Woodies with Christmas tree and baubles on sale beside Halloween decorations.
The above picture was taken in Woodies in Newbridge, Co Kildare, on Sunday, September 28, almost three months out from Christmas Day.
The image shows Christmas stock displayed with trees on the floor, some complete with lights, for sale beside skulls and ghost decorations and Halloween stock.
Last week, most supermarkets laid out some of their Christmas stock with festive food and decorations already on the shelves.
One shopper in Woodies on Sunday described it as "madness" and suggested all stores hold onto their Christmas stock until after Halloween.
