Approximately €1,400 worth of jewellery was stolen from a "remote" County Kildare home.
The burglary incident was highlighted by Garda Maureen Nerney on a KFM radio programme which aired on the morning of Wednesday, October 8 last.
She explained that the jewellery was stolen from a home located in Colstown (which is located near Castledermot) on October 3 last.
According to Gda Nerney, the stolen jewellery included: a one-in-four wedding band (which was made up of gold, rose gold and white gold); a golden necklace with a Celtic knot and which had diamonds engraved on it; a silver ring; and a small gold charm in a heart shape.

She concluded by calling on anyone with information relating to this burglary to contact Castledermot Garda Station on 059 914 4112.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí responded to an incident of burglary that occurred on October 3 last in the Colstown area of Castledermot, County Kildare.
"A number of belongings were taken from the premises in the course of this incident."
The spokesperson added that investigations into this matter are ongoing.
