BREAKING: Man arrested in connection to fatal Kildare town incident. File photograph
A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal Kildare town incident which occurred during the early hours of October 26 last.
The late Ryan Gibbons, also known as Ryan Weir Gibbons, was pronounced dead on October 30 last following a serious assault at Magee Terrace.
Announcing the latest development in the case, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, aged in his twenties, following a fatal assault in Kildare town on Sunday, October 26 last.
"This morning, Monday, November 3, gardaí arrested a man in connection with the investigation on suspicion of murder.
"The man (aged in his late teens) is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in the Kildare area."
The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing.
