LATEST: Man arrested in relation to fatal Kildare town incident released without charge. File photograph
The man who was arrested in relation to a fatal Kildare town incident, which occurred on October 26 last, has been released by garda without charge.
The late Ryan Gibbons, also known as Ryan Weir Gibbons, was hospitalised following the assault but was later pronounced dead on October 30.
Yesterday (November 3 last), a garda spokesperson announced that a man had been arrested in connection to the investigation into the fatal incident.
And this morning (November 4), a separate garda spokesperson announced that the man has been released without charge.
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokespersons added. "A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions."
