Foreign-registered cars 'allowed to park for weeks' in Kildare

Vehicles - apparently belonging to people living outside Ireland - are being allowed to park for weeks in Kildare.

The issue has been raised by Cllr Carmel Kelly, who has called for immediate action by Kildare County Council.

Cllr Kelly says "non-Irish registered vehicles" are parking for weeks on end along the canal (bank) in Sallins.

She says the vehicles are left in designated parking spaces and wants KCC to rectify this.
